How Vehicle Graphics Get Your Brand Seen

To make your brand more visible on a larger scale, you need to think bigger. How so? Posters plastered all over the city, excessive email marketing, large direct mail campaigns? Not quite. Rather, one key to catching the attention of millions in the physical world is advertising on a literally large scale. Big color – or large format – graphics have been known to capture the attention of thousands and, over time, increase your brand. Although billboards and building wraps are two popular options for doing this, both are stagnant advertising media. Instead, consider developing vehicle graphics to get your brand seen.

Also referred to as "vehicle wraps," these advertising graphics essentially cover all or part of a vehicle with your brand. If you've been in a city, you've likely seen them on buses, vans, cars, or trucks. Sometimes, one's plastered onto the exterior of a public bus or subway car; other times, the graphics are added to company vehicles that, when traveling around an area, pass by onlookers, who notice the images. No matter where the wrap is applied, your brand and image – through full color, high-resolution graphics – are printed onto opaque vinyl or perforated window film and then added to the vehicle.

So, considering bigger is better in terms of advertising, what can vehicle graphics do to make your brand visible? First off, 91 percent of all people notice words and images on vehicles. Second off, metro trucks are seen by 14 million sets of eyes per year. Combine these two together, and a vehicle wrap results in millions of impressions over a 12-month period. Additionally, a large percentage of those viewing vehicle graphics have significant purchasing power (making $75,000 or more per year) and fall within the desired age range (25 to 54) for consumers.

Of course, designing vehicle graphics should not be your only approach to increasing your brand. These days, a multi-faceted campaign needs to take place, one that traverses physical and digital realms and, perhaps even, combines the two for a fully interactive and customer-friendly experience. When it comes to the physical world, however, vehicle graphics are highly beneficial to your brand and end up being a wise long-term investment.
