Short Term Rentals – Great for Many Reasons

There are many reasons why people look to short term rentals or extended stay accommodations as an alternative to staying at a hotel for weeks on end.

Short term rentals could be a great option for:

• Snowbirds – People who live in a city in the summer and who travel to warmer climates in the harsh winters often look at temporary accommodations for the winter portion of the year. By finding a furnished rental, such as a condo, you can save money on leaving a home with rent or a mortgage payment empty while you're not using it. Employees often prefer this and companies often find it easier to manage in terms of expenses and in terms of administration and not needing to constantly place bookings for their staff.
• Relocation – Are you relocating to a new city? Renting temporary housing for a month (or a few months) is going to be much more comfortable than staying in a hotel and can help you get semi-settled so that you can find the right permanent new home at a more leisurely pace.
• Family Illness -  Are you staying in another city due to treatment needed for an illness? Or perhaps you've got a family member in the hospital and instead of travelling several hours back and forth daily over a long period of time, a short term rental makes more sense logistically and financially. You can find extended stay condos and apartments that are ideal for this scenario without the requirement of a lease but with all the comforts of home that hotels and motels lack.

Staying in a condo instead of a hotel room could make a big difference to your levels of comfort as well as being much more cost effective accommodations where you could have the ability to do your own cooking, do your own laundry, and be able to entertain, if necessary. A short term rental unit can be convenient and comfortable and is a preferred method for many people who compare this option to a hotel room.
