The Passing of a Guide

Jim Rohn passed away last year. He was an inspiration to at least three generations of entrepreneurial minded people like you and me. My friend, Tom Hoobyar, gathered some of his statements of wisdom that are just too good to not pass on to you. Each one merits some significant thought and reflection.

-" Unless you change how you are, you'll always have what you've got.

- Formal education will make you a living. Self education will make

you a fortune.

- We can have more than we've got because we can become more than we are.

- You must get good at one of two things; planting in the spring or

begging in the fall.

- When you know what you want, and you want it badly enough, you'll

find a way to get it.

- Miss a meal if you have to, but don't miss a book.

- The great gift of the human imagination is that it has no limits or

ending.

- Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted to the person we

become.

- Success is not so much what we have as it is what we are.

- I find it fascinating that most people plan their vacations with

better care than they do their lives. Perhaps that's because escape is

easier than change.

- Never begin the day until it is finished on paper.

- We generally change ourselves for one of two reasons: inspiration or

desperation."

Thank you, Jim Rohn.

As this year winds down, make a point to consider these hard won understandings wrought from thousands of years of human endeavor.

It is time to consider and act on the future now so when it arrives, you'll like your present.

Best,

           Charley
