Training your team in foreign languages

Training employees in foreign languages is one of the greatest challenges faced by Human Resources Managers in large companies. After all, convincing employees that they'll need to learn languages that they're unfamiliar with can be a challenge in itself. And even after you've done so, where can you find permanent training that is not dependant on issues of physical location, schedules or commutes, and which also offers the human element that only an experienced native professor can provide?

Foreign language instruction in a virtual environment, as it is often done, might provide solutions to some of these challenges, but will not meet all the needs of a Human Resources department, and leaves some problems unaddressed.

Some of these problems include lack of time on the part of employees, the fact that they do not all start at the same level or learn at the same rate, their varying profiles and nationalities and the cost of arranging travel for employees to different locations.

A major problem with learning anything in a virtual environment, is the fact that the process of learning anything virtually can seem quite impersonal. However, there are some systems that manage to keep a human element through providing the personal attention of native professors whenever a user needs one. Through using the latest technologies, a student can speak to his or her professor face to face at any time with just a click of a mouse whenever he or she has any questions or concerns while taking an online language course.

By doing away with impersonal training, you can ensure maximum efficiency in the learning process for your employees. Besides benefiting from a series of activities that allow the student to learn in a way that is visual, natural and enjoyable, without becoming bored and almost without realizing it, the student will also benefit from the unfailing support of a native professor at all times.

This allows the student to evaluate his or her learning, for example, in the case of something as tricky as pronunciation. Some online language courses for businesses even include the most advanced current technology in voice recognition, but also ensure utmost reliability in the evaluation of the student's pronunciation by allowing the user to transmit his or her voice to the professor, meaning that he or she can personally correct the pronunciation, transmitting his or her own voice so that the student will truly understand how to improve.
